Under Observation for Minor Injuries The boxer had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”. “Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked. Honoring the Deceased The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.” His release from the hospital follows the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the champion in the wake of the terrible crash.
